Japanese Genmaicha Green Tea - Nutty, Sweet, and Comforting
Genmaicha literally “brown rice tea”, is a beloved everyday blend in Japan - made from sun-grown Sencha green tea leaves and roasted dessert mochi rice. Originally created to stretch expensive tea by adding rice, it became a classic for its satisfying flavor and balance of warmth and freshness.
Known as “Geisha’s breakfast”, Genmaicha is naturally lower in caffeine, with a gentle character suited to mornings or quiet daytime breaks.
Flavor profile:
- light golden infusion;
- aroma of toasted rice and oatmeal cookies;
- mild sweetness balanced with grassy green tea notes;

- can be re-brewed up to 2 times;
